MSU strives to keep study abroad costs at a minimum by developing, among other things, semester-length programs in which room, board, and tuition costs often do not exceed the costs of a semester's study on campus. The MSU Office of Study Abroad also offers student support services, including advising, scholarship aid, and pre-departure and on-site orientations.
