RCPD frequently receives requests for participation from students registered with our office from entities within and outside MSU. The mission and goal of the RCPD is first to provide equal access to students, faculty and staff with disabilities to the academic and employment environment at MSU, and second to provide quality programming that further enhances those experiences. We strive to maintain confidentiality and protect the integrity of the information trusted to us by the constituents we serve. Individuals connected with RCPD have not agreed to be solicited to and are registered because they are experiencing institutional barriers to accessing their education or workplace environments and need our assistance addressing those barriers. It is with this in mind that we set the following parameters for research requests that come to RCPD:
Once per semester RCPD will include a list of studies that students can optionally participate in as part of a regularly scheduled newsletter update. For inclusion in this semesterly update studies must:

Be consistent with RCPD’s mission of Maximizing Ability and Opportunity

Show proof of IRB approval

Clearly state research objectives, participation parameters and incentives
