The calendar says spring "sprang" March 20, but until all the snow melts and the mercury moves above 2, it's kind of hard to get into the swing of spring. There are, however, several events planned to keep you busy until those April showers wash away winter's gray:
April 20 -- "Disability & Popular Culture," Kellogg Center, Lincoln Room, 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.. Sponsored in part by the MSU All-University Excellence in Diversity Committee, this event explores the representation of disability in the arts, media, lite rature and music. Call 517- 432-3623 for registration details.
May 1 -- OPHS Spring Awards Reception and Atrium Dedication. Atrium ceremony begins at 1 p.m. outside Bessey 120. Awards reception to follow at approximately 2 p.m. in Bessey 108. All OPHS graduates will be recognized!
May 4-8 -- Finals week.
May 8-9 -- Graduation. Way to go seniors!
June 9-11 -- Women and Disabilities Conference in Detroit, "Celebrate, Motivate, Organize and Activate." Contact Rosie Powell at 517-577-2654.
