Any student who misses a semester or two due to illness no longer has to file a readmission application, according to a new policy approved in January. Beginning summer semester 1997, all students, including lifelong education, who have not been recessed or dismissed by the University and have not completed their programs may re-enter the University in any of the three semesters immediately following their last registered term without having to file a readmission application. Students who are not enrolled at the University for twelve months are required to submit a readmission application. Under this new policy, summers are no longer a \time-out" but count equally with fall and spring semesters.
