Readywith energy, enthusiasm, and a variety of technical skills, Jeanne Huntarrived at MSU. She brought with her a compelling blend of experiences,including college administrative responsibilities and a uniquebackground in information systems.
Jeannestarted out at RCPD as a temporary employee, but like the rest of theRCPD staff, she was captivated by the positive atmosphere and themission of the office, and decided to stay. She officially accepted thefull-time position as the new Budget/Personnel Assistant to theDirector for RCPD on October 22, 2007.
RCPDdirector Michael Hudson has high aspirations for both the staff and theoffice at RCPD. \I'm continually working to further efficiency throughtechnology, and aspire to build a fiscally and operationally successfuloffice," said director, Michael Hudson. "With these goals in mind,Jeanne was a perfect match for the position."
Jeanne received her bachelor's degree in information systems from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
"Mydegree in information systems has taught me a lot about problemsolving," says Jeanne. "I learned how to remove unnecessary steps inorder to solve problems in the most efficient way possible."
Thisbackground combined with her experience as an administrative assistantfor the Academic Dean at Goucher College in Maryland, have prepared herto have a positive impact on students, faculty and employees at MSU.
RCPDdepends on Jeanne, and for good reason. "It is my responsibility tomake sure people get what they need accurately and professionally, andof course, make sure people get paid" says Jeanne.
Inaddition to her unique academic and employment history, Jeanne is aninteresting conversationalist for multiple reasons. Jeanne grew up inAlaska and lived in Maryland prior to moving to Michigan. Outside ofwork she enjoys spending time with her 3 children, her new grandbaby,and her golden retriever.
