In the Fall of 2023 POE (Prevention, Outreach and Education) in collaboration with the RCPD is launching a Sensory Friendly Sexual Assault and Relationship Violence (SARV) Workshop option. These workshops will be offered at the same time as the standard workshop and count towards your completion of the program. This workshop defines gender-based violence, explains university policies, and highlights resources available on campus and in the community with a specific focus on providing a sensory-friendly learning environment and experience. This sensory-friendly experience includes:
- classrooms with reduced sound stimulation
- seating arranged in a circular manner for increased hearing capability
- workshop capacities of 20 students per session
- fidgets available
- printed handouts for following along.
