During the fall 2023 semester, RCPD specialists Jessica Lutz and Hannah Huey-Jones introduced and facilitated a disability-centered Learning Community for faculty and staff titled, “Disability Dynamics: Theory, Accessibility, and Practice at MSU.”
This online community explored topics related to disability in society, including language, models of disability, and accessible practices. Facilitators lead discussions on important topics in the field as they relate to teaching, research, outreach, and relationships on campus. These virtual monthly meetings were influenced by member interest and practical needs.

In its inaugural semester there were a total of four meetings that took place on Zoom. There were a variety of topics and guest speakers, ranging from assistive technology to decoding disability language and more! The first meeting kicked off in September with an additional meeting held each month in October, November, and December, respectively (see schedule below):

- December 6, 2:00pm -3:00pm - Non-Apparent Disabilities with Jessica Lutz, RCPD Access Specialist
