For those who have stopped by the RCPD office lately, many have had to use a different entrance. Also, many employees have temporarily been displaced from their office. Do not fret, this is not a permanent change, this will only be while the carpeting is being replaced throughout the office.
This summer the RCPD office is undergoing a ‘facelift' beginning with the carpeting and leading to more developments within the organization. As you stroll down our hallways, you may notice a variety of new pictures along the walls. These new plaques and pictures help illustrate the historical significance and connectedness of the RCPD while also creating a more eye-appealing office.
Another development within the office is the Donor Recognition Tree which is now prominently displayed in RCPD's main reception area. The Donor Recognition Tree acknowledges those helping in funding the RCPD and its activities. To commemorate and celebrate the efforts of significant contributors, the RCPD now recognizes donations with an inscribed leaf or rock on a new Tree of Giving. This tree contains personalized inscriptions on leaves or rocks depending on the milestone reached by each donor. This tree helps build a sense of cooperative spirit, while demonstrating broad community interests in our students and programs.
These office changes go beyond the carpeting. They represent the RCPD's ability to connect people with the university and to employment possibilities. The forward-moving RCPD begins with the summer with office changes and progresses to a new school year full of big changes and innovative events for the organization.
