Liz Fuller leaves behind her creative mark wherever she works.
As a former student that was working elsewhere on Michigan State’s campus, Liz learned about the Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities. She was interested in joining team RCPD, where education empowers over 1,700 registered Spartans. She could see even from a distance the value of the work being done. When she would occasionally brush shoulders with RCPD staff members, she was impressed every time by the energy and dedication that they displayed. It seemed that their jobs were more than just jobs, and they approached their workdays with a purpose that she admired and wanted to be a part of.
This Spartan found a way to extend her talents and bring impact to Bessey Hall. Shortly after starting her position as Operations Coordinator and Alternative Testing Coordinator, she became a vital asset for office coordination.
Her major in Studio Art and Painting brings a unique perspective to her position. Since joining team RCPD in December of 2015, she has coordinated front office operations imperative to receiving a range of student and community needs and getting people off to a strong start with the RCPD. Building on her core duties, she has applied her educational experience and her eye for design to programs to enhance multiple departmental publications.
Director of the RCPD, Michael Hudson, says, “The Operations Coordinator is an imperative and highly visible role at the front-side of our program. We needed operational efficiency complimented with a warm, personalized approach that would strengthen our mission. Liz is a great fit for these needs and she has some unique artistic talents to share as well. We are honored to welcome her to our team.”
Liz commented that she looks forward to coming to the office every day because she gets to work with the RCPD towards inclusion, ability, and accommodations. Through this position, Liz sees immediate impact and enjoys helping students reach their fullest potential.
When asked about an impactful memory Liz has had since starting at the RCPD, she stated, “being welcomed into such a great, inspiring team of oddballs and superheroes.”
After a fulfilling day of work at the RCPD office, Liz enjoys going home and spending some time with her boyfriend and her giant, fluffy, orange-haired cat named Bombur. From childhood to college, Liz was an avid horseback rider and while she looks forward to getting back to riding one day, in the meantime she is happy to appreciate her favorite animal through her art.
The RCPD is honored to have a talented, positive, and dynamic person join the team. We are eager to see where she leaves future footprints.
