A student with a disability in need of a housing accommodation due to their condition must identify and register with the Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities (RCPD). The housing accommodation request process is found on our Housing and Campus Life page.
Please note, MSU is taking every precaution possible to protect the health and safety of students, faculty, and staff. MSU is following the guidance of the CDC and the University is making decisions accordingly regarding the LiveOn process. With that being said, RCPD suggests consulting with your physician about how the Coronavirus may impact your condition in University Housing. Please know that RCPD will be here to support you in any way possible. Please consult your RCPD specialist if you have any questions or concerns.
A student with a disability in need of a housing accommodation due to their condition must identify and register with the Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities (RCPD) in advance, at least 45 days prior to move-in or when the accommodation is needed. It is important to know that the number of accessible housing spaces are limited so starting this process early will aid in the implementation process.
Begin by registering with RCPD. Your Ability Access Specialist will facilitate housing accommodations and/or assist with dietary concerns. Depending on the housing accommodation you will request, additional documentation and information may be necessary. More details about different types of housing accommodations are below.
When requesting housing accommodations, it is important to follow and complete the MSU Live On sign-up and selection process. As housing accommodations are approved, RCPD will work with students and MSU Live On to make the necessary housing adjustments.
Visit the MSU Housing Live On website for more information on campus housing.
