Ann-Marie joined team RCPD first as a contract interpreter in Fall 2006 and was offered full-time status beginning July 2007. Nationally certified in April 2008 with an Associate's in Sign Language Interpreting and a Bachelor's in Social Work, she maintains a strong commitment to continuing education in the field. Her first priority is providing interpreting services for MSU students, and she also works with deaf faculty, staff, and visitors. A fixture at campus-wide events, including the Fall Welcome and commencement exercises, her presence ensures accessibility for all who attend. Her creativity and innovative thinking pushes colleagues to think outside the box and she is rarely short an opinion. In addition to interpreting, Ann-Marie serves as the go-to person for open and closed captioning. Working with Tom Hwang, Stephen Blosser, and Al Puzzoli, Ann-Marie uses the latest software to produce captioned media for various campus entities.

She thrives in a postsecondary environment and enjoys educating the MSU community as to the needs and rights of Deaf and hard of hearing people. Her daily interaction with a variety of faculty, staff, and students makes her days here dynamic and rewarding.
Ann-Marie prides herself as a member of Lansing Community College's faculty and is honored to work in a high quality interpreter program. After work, you will find her studying for graduate school and training for her next triathlon.
